The best club nights are not complicated. They are easy to join, quick to run and fun even for the players who finish last. Here is a format that works.
Keep the format simple
Random draw doubles is the classic for a reason. Pair experienced players with newer ones, play best shot, and keep the rules short.
Nine or eighteen holes is plenty. A short round means more people can stay and hang out afterwards.
Make the first round welcoming
Have a five-minute briefing for anyone new: where to stand, how to mark a lie, and what to do if a disc goes out of bounds.
Pair new players with someone friendly and patient. That single choice decides whether they come back.
Add a small side game
Closest to the pin on one hole, a longest-putt challenge, or a silly bonus prize for the best attitude. Low-cost fun keeps the energy up.
Post the results and a photo the same night. People love seeing their name and it makes the next event easy to promote.
